In this Data Privacy Policy, we (TRIOPTICS GmbH, Strandbaddamm 6, 22880 Wedel) inform you about the personal data we collect, process and use when you visit our website.

‚Personal data‘ means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. your name, your address or your email address.

Basic principles

We observe applicable provisions of the law when we collect, process and use personal data, in particular the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG 2017) and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG).

Except in the cases indicated, no data is transmitted to countries outside the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA).

An asterisk (*) is used to identify required fields in the forms on our website. Completing all other fields is optional.

Automated data storage by our website

Our website automatically stores (not via a registration) general information which are not personal. The web servers store, for example, by default:

  • Browser type/version
  • Operating System
  • the previous webpage you were visiting (Referrer URL)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Date and time of server request

The information is stored solely for the purposes of technical administration of our website. We do not transfer these information to third parties. We reserve the right to check the log data later if there is a reasonable ground for suspicion of unlawful use based on concrete indications.

Registration for TRIOPTICS Event

If you register for a TRIOPTICS event, we will process personal data such as your email address, your name and the country of your residence. We will use these data solely to give you access to a TRIOPTICS event. For the registration process we use the services of an agency located in Germany which is specialised in organising online events such as the TRIOPTICS events. With regard to the processing of personal data we have obliged the agency to comply with GDPR.

Purpose of data processing is the organization of TRIOPTICS events via the website including all services for their participants.

Data will be deleted two years after the last recorded action.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter on our website, we will process personal data such as your email address, your name and the country of your residence. We do not process further personal data. For the newsletter, we use the services of a newsletter provider which is located in the European Union. With regard to the processing of personal data we have obliged the newsletter provider to comply with German data protection law. The newsletter service offers statistical analyses of usage data. This includes, among others, information on whether an email has reached the recipient or has been rejected by the server. If you do not want that your personal data are processed by the newsletter provider, you should not subscribe to the newsletter or unsubscribe.

We will use these data solely to send you information about TRIOPTICS and its products.

You can cancel this subscription at any time by clicking the „unsubscribe“-link in our newsletter or via email to info@trioptics.com. Your e-mail address will then be deleted within 70 days.
